Lenard let me borrow his camera again so I could take a few pictures of the dogs to put up on my walls. (the picture frames still have the pictures they came with) her are a couple of the shots I got.

Welcome to Holland.....

A week or so ago, the Starks kids were hanging out at my house for the afternoon. They wanted to do the puzzles so I said go ahead. Well they put them together and Lenard was looking at them and he discovered that the pieces were interchageable between the two puzzles. He decided to be a little unconventional in his approach to puzzledom. First he made "stripes" and then he made "checkerboards" out of them. It took him some time but he patiently worked on it for quite a while. If you look closely and focus, you can still get the gist of the pictures. Can you tell what they are?

Jon is the one who separated them and got the pieces back in the correct boxes.

Grandmas little helper

Why do little girls this age just love to help with the dishes? Halia just loves it. I cannot even stand at the sink without my little helper. Now if whe will just have the same attitude when she is 13. ;)

Lennie's Dad passed away this morning...

I am sure he had a wonderful, long, and pain free embrace from Lennie's mom and his parents when he passed. We are sad only for ourselves, and so happy for him. The funeral is most likely going to be Friday, we'll post more details when we get them finalized. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Shannon......

I hope you have a girl.

Sadly.....

Lennie's dad is not doing well. He has been in and out of the hospital for a few months, his heart and his kidneys are not functioning like they should, and now he is having difficulty swallowing and keeping food down. Medications are keeping his blood pressure up and dialysis is keeping fluid from building up in his body and causing extreme swelling. He coded last Sunday and they had to shock his heart to get it going again. As of yesterday, he has made the decision to stop all treatments and go to hospice where he can be kept comfortable until the Lord decides it is time for him to be reuinted with his sweetheart who passed away almost exactly a year ago. He is so lonely for her. We are not exactly sure how the next days/weeks will go, but they are sure to be very emotional. We love our families so much and are grateful for the Plan of Salvation, the Plan of Happiness.
