If anyone is doing P90X (or just needs a good protein bar)...Here is a super easy recipe for some delicious protein bars! The kids love them, too, so make lots!
1 mashed banana
1 1/2 cups dry oatmeal
2 Tbsp flax seed, ground (health food store/aisle)
2-4 scoops protein powder
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup raisins (I left this one out)
1/4 cup water
1 large chocolate bar or 1/2 cup choc. chips
Mix all ingredients, but choc, together well (mixture will be sticky). Line an 8 X 8 pan with foil and spread the mixture evenly in the pan. Melt choc according to package directions. Spread over the mixture in the pan.
Place the pan in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Cut into 10-12 bars and wrap in plastic wrap or foil and store in the freezer.
Thaw slightly before serving.
1/10th of the recipe is approx 260 calories and 11 to 13 grams of protein (depending on how much powder you use).
If you try it, let me know what you think!

on WW, if you make 12 bars they are 5 points each.
But when you are on that routine, you need it. The protien that is. Sounds good, but thats a lot of ingredients. How does it cost out?
I am totally cgoing to make these!! They sound awesome! My kids are running a 1k next month so they will love to have some "training food"! :) Thanks for sharing the recipe!
