Get your shoes on! Work your butt off! Then EAT EAT EAT!!!

We are going to do the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning at Red Mountain Park in Mesa! We did it last year and it was really fun! They have a 10K, a 2mile fun run/walk, and a 1mile fun run/walk so everyone from the family can come out with their kids and have a part in it. Here is a link to get registered

http://www.raceplaceevents.com/event.php?event=401002
But you if you want to avoid paying more the day of the race, you have to register online by November 17th.

Let me know if you have any questions.

All you FMXers... you BETTER be doin the 10K.

Is it TWELVE BUCKS for my kids to do the 1 mile fitness walk??

Yeah. I know that adds up. I think it will be worth it, but if it's not going to work you can always bring them down to the park to play and be cheerleaders! Maybe they can earn their own 12 dollars??? Like doing jobs around the house or I can think of some things I need done at my house I could pay them for ;)

Well, if we walk to the park and home, we can call it a 2 mile fitness walk, and I dont have to shell out $50 for it. That is probably what we'll do. Honestly, why do they need $12 from kids to walk a mile??

That's just the way it goes for any type of sponsored event. A portion of the money goes to the charity that they support and I'm sure a portion goes to setting up the event, blocking off roadways, paying for police support and that sort of thing. But that is unfortunately the going rate. But it will be fun to get together anyhow. REMEMBER last year. Don't drive or get there early.
