Our trip to Hawaii

As some of you already know, we had an unexpected trip to Hawaii. We knew Jaba's Grandpa Ili (Pat's dad) was sick. He had been in and out of the hospital for different reasons. We got a call on Aug 21st that he had had a heart attack and was not going to survive it. Jaba's cousin Lei was able to find us some buddy passes and we left on the 22nd. When we got there we went straight to the Hospital and got to see grandpa. He past away the next morning. We are so blessed to have the gospel and a knowledge of life after death. This trip was a good reminder of eternal families and how we need to not take our families for granted. It was really nice to see Jaba's family and help with the funeral preparations. It was a LOT of Hard work for jaba. But he loved it. We were supposed to come home Sunday but that didn't happen. As it turned out the flights were way over sold and we didn't get to leave until Wednesday. Oh the joy of flying standby =) So we enjoyed a few more days in Paradise and had a good time.
