Collecting Shells with Grandma
While Grandma was here we took a ferry over to Bainbridge Island to collect sand dollars while the tide was out. We didn't find any sand dollars - what we found was tons of mud! They kept taking steps and getting stuck. They were covered in mud! I am still trying to get in out of their clothes! We finally found a rockier beach that we could walk out to the water on. Grandma and the boys skipped rocks and found lots of shells. They had to walk back to the ferry dock without shoes and with muddy pants, but we had quite an adventure! Thanks Grandma for coming and having a blast with us! We miss you already! :)

At one point we were afraid we had totally lost Brody in the mud. The suction on the boots was incredible. Kaden would try to help him get un-stuck and then Kaden would just sink deeper and deeper. Todd tried to toss big rocks out near them so the could use them for stepping stones but that just made big mud splashes all over their faces and clothes. It will be something we can all laugh about later, like when Coleen finally gets the clothes clean. ;)
It sounds like this could have turned into a big mud fight!!! Now that would have been fun ;)
You guys have the best adventures!
Bummer you couldn't find any sand dollars, but it looks like it turned out to be a blast! Super fun!
