Thanksgiving was SO MUCH FUN! We had so much good food! You know how at moms we usually end up having way too many types of things to eat and way too much of it? Well this year we decided to be very specific with the assignments and keep it very simple and traditional. We still ended up with a few extra things but nothing out of control. This year was, by far, the best "food year" in my opinion. It was SO good. Mom's turkey was awesome!!! I was bummed we didn't play volley ball or something but I had ran a race that morning and I had a headache so a nap was a better option. So we ate and played games all day then we planned out our game plan for....
BLACK FRIDAY!!!!! Duh Duh DUH! We decided we were gonna go for it and go all out. We woke up at 2 am :) That's not really so early for us. But we were about the first in line for the stores we wanted to go to and we got everything we planned for. INCLUDING a beautiful 7 foot Christmas tree that we put up and decorated today :) We are so happy. We love Christmas!
This is our new tree!
We took this picture real quick and it was cute but...
...Then Honey got jealous. So we took a family picture, but she thought it was a photo shoot for the cover of vogue just for her obviously.
Here's Donald with all of our Christmas presents.
Thank you, Santa!
I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving! I look forward to those years when we get to be together. That's fun.

What a fun post. I remember our first tree....no lights, popcorn strings, paper chains, eggshell ornaments. Pretty much a Charlie Brown tree that we poached from 4 Peaks. I wish we had a picture. Ahhh, first Christmases, Good times. Love Mom
Did you get anything for us? We would NEVER try to brave the crowds (with our 4 kids, I guess). We did go to Target @ 3:30 PM and got a $28 vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter for Macey's allergies. (And James waited in the car while I ran in.) When we move back (fingers crossed) we will have to go together! It looks like you knew what you were doing! And your tree is awesome!
We are looking forward to years spent together again as well. I also went shopping starting at 3:30am (with some friends) but all I could do was talk about Shannon and how funny she always was on black friday. You would race people to things and start grabbing at them with no intentions of buying, you nick named everybody, you riled everyone up in line, funny, funny times! :) I sure missed it! I also missed the sleep over with the Dares the night before. Good times! Remember the diet coke lady?? :)
You're tree is awesome! We are going to cut one today! :) Miss you all!!!
Well I remember watching kids while the girls do their thing! Oh yeah did you hear about the Wal mart worker who got trampled to death? No joke... Maybe next time the husbands need to go with and wear football pads to protect? You win the couple of the year award from ME! Love you guys!
